Don’t worry. We will have time during the kickoff to help you find a group. If you’re still assembling your team you can finalize it at the kickoff as well.

Yes! We will have workshops for our participants to help with ideation and script writing in the pre-production phase. If you have any questions during the production process, we will be at the Innovatrium from 10am-10pm on Saturday. We can also help you with your editing on Saturday evening!

The competition officially starts at the Dunn-Richmond Center at 9AM on March 4 and submissions must be made by 5pm on March 5.

Exact submission details will be announced at the kickoff, but expect to upload your videos online via YouTube or a similar service.

You do not have to edit on your smartphone, however, if you want a challenge…do it! Feel free to use whatever platform you’d like for editing. The Dunn-Richmond Center will also be an open editing space on Sunday (bring your own computer).

Yes—if you have access to equipment such as microphones, lights, or audio recorders, you may use them in the competition. But again, we urge you to challenge yourself without using professional equipment!

Yes, members on the team must be currently enrolled SIU students. However, your actors and actresses don’t need to be students

No. The only people that count is your film crew.
